Re-opening Under The COVID-19 Protection Framework

  • The VR Club 37 Fred Thomas Drive Auckland, Auckland, 0622 New Zealand (map)

Hello! We can’t wait to return to business when Auckland’s DHBs reach 90% double vaccinations.

Update: We are re-opening Saturday December 4th!

At The VR Club we will be implementing new policies and features to help us play safe together, once we are able to re-open following the MOH guidelines. These may change over time or as we shift in alert levels, but starting at “Red Light” these include:

  • HeroZone Team Arena will be temporarily unavailable until we can find a new space to operate it. This is in order to comply with the 1m spacing for indoor venues.

  • Wireless Play will be expanded to 8 players! Since there will be leftover space without HeroZone, we can easily fit in two additional play areas in our current venue.

  • Air conditioning! Summer is coming and we must have proper ventilation to keep comfortable and safe.

  • Vaccine certificates will be required for everyone who is eligible, including our staff. You can now request your certificate from this website This will provide you with a QR code to present on arrival.

  • Children aged 8 to 11 can enter the premises without a vaccine or face covering. Though this policy may be subject to change when that age group becomes eligible to receive vaccinations and/or upon other updated Government policies.

  • Public health requirements will be in place. As a close contact business, we will be requiring the use of masks for everyone aged 12 and up even while wearing a VR headset (masks will not be required at the orange/green light alert levels), as well as the usual scanning the QR code, staying home and reschedule your session if you are sick, and please wash your hands or use the provided sanitizer.

  • As always the headsets and controllers will be thoroughly sanitized with isopropyl alcohol wipes between sessions by staff. While the equipment is likely the cleanest surface you’ve touched all day, we would still highly recommend not letting anyone else share a headset with you during your session.
